PRAYLEX 2022

Welcome to a 7-week prayer initiative Praying God's Word over Lexington.

Week 1

4/18 - Thankful for My Community

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matt 5:14)

- Reflect on why you live here and thank God for placing you here.

- Think of your gifts your community gives the world & thank God for the impact Lex has.

- Consider the local struggles and pray how God can use these to draw people to Him.

- Raise up harvesters to shine His light in their realm of influence.

- Wisdom, strength and strategy to bring influence to Lex

4/20  – Cry Out for a Heart to see the Lost Saved!

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matt 9:37-38)

- Ask forgiveness for allowing fear to stifle evangelizing

- Seek God for fresh filling of H.S. for boldness

- Rejoice that God is for you in this mission

- Mobilization of family, neighbors, co-workers, friends to be harvesters

- Opportunity to be a clear & loving witness to those you know

4/22 – Seek God to Remove the Blinders from the Eyes of Unbelievers

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:4-6)

- Thank God that he is greater than all things.

- Ask for the removal of spiritual blinders for specific people in your life.

- Seek God for open doors to share the gospel, which has the power to deliver.

- Desire to preach Christ and not ourselves.

- Trust God to reveal His glory to the lost today.

4/19 – Pray for Laborers for the Harvest

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matt 9:37-38)

- Ask forgiveness for allowing fear to stifle evangelizing

- Seek God for fresh filling of H.S. for boldness

- Rejoice that God is for you in this mission

- Mobilization of family, neighbors, co-workers, friends to be harvesters

- Opportunity to be a clear & loving witness to those you know

4/21 – Ask for All to Come to Repentance

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

- Seek God’s forgiveness for any distinctions you’ve made between those reachable for Christ and those not.

- Ask the Father for a equal heart of love for all.

- Ask to see the lost repent and turn toward Jesus Christ in faith.

- A fresh desire to display the fruit of the Spirit in your life.

- Pray for those in your life that are hard to reach… that they would come to repentance.

4/23 – Intercede for the Gospel to be Proclaim World-Wide

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matt 24:14)

- Pray for a heart to love and share Jesus with the lost.

- A change in priorities of time and wealth to sacrificially give so that Jesus is made known.

- God ordained opportunities to share Jesus for every man, woman & child

- Hearts to be prepared to hear and receive Jesus.

4/24 - Reflect on what God has been showing you this week.
