PRAYLEX 2024

“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matt 5:14)

- Reflect on where you live and thank God for placing you there.

- Consider local struggles and ask God to use them to draw people to Him.

- Ask for wisdom, strength and strategy to bring influence to Lex.

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation. (Romans10:1)

- Ask H.S. to show you things in Lex that are breaking His heart.

- Ask to be shown where you have been apathetic & negative in engaging your community.

- Repent & submit your heart to the Spirit’s leading.

- Ask God for names of people for whom you can pray for & opportunities to share the love of God with them.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:4-6)

- Thank God that He is greater than all things and has the power to change circumstances.

- Ask for the removal of spiritual blinders for specific people in your life.

- Today seize an opportunity to talk about Christ while not turning it into a conversation about you. (Remember, it’s NOT about us!)

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matt 9:37-38)

- Ask forgiveness for allowing fear to stifle your evangelizing.

- Seek God for a fresh filling of Holy Spirit (H.S.)

- Rejoice that God is for you in this mission.

- Look for opportunities to be a bold & loving witness today.

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

- Seek God’s forgiveness for any distinctions you’ve made between those reachable for Christ and those not.

- Ask the Father for an equal heart of love for all people.

- Pray for the lost to repent and turn toward Jesus.

- Ask God for a fresh desire to display the fruit of the Spirit in your life.

- Pray for those in your life that are hard to reach… A softening of their heart, of your heart, and a spirit of repentance.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matt 24:14)

- Pray for your heart to love and desire to share Jesus with the lost.

- A change in priorities of time and wealth to sacrificially give so that Jesus is made known.

- Be on the alert for God ordained opportunities to share Jesus with those you meet today.

- Pray for hearts to be ready to hear and receive the words of life.
