What to Expect...
If you're new to the area or just looking for a fresh start, Sunday Morning at LexChristian is a great place to begin. You'll have the opportunity to explore biblical Christianity in a welcoming and supportive environment as you connect with others.
A Grab N Go Breakfast from 9-10am is available weekly... sometimes, it's donuts; other times it's muffins, but always accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and juices. The worship service starts at 10a. (Kids Church is dismissed during the service.)
What is a service like and how long does it last?
A typical service begins with one or two worship songs, a welcome, another song or two, children's church dismissal,
a time of teaching followed by communion, a final song and closing announcements. Most services last between 1 hr to 1:15 hr.
What is communion?
Communion is taking a bit of juice and bread that represent Jesus Christ's blood and body. Communion is for Christ followers to weekly remember the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us and celebrate the new life we have with Him. If you are just checking things out, please feel free to just let it pass. If you have made that commitment, you are invited to participate.
How should I dress?
When you visit, you'll find some dressed up and some dressed down in jeans, t-shirts and shorts. Our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable. So you are welcome to join us in the attire that feels most comfortable for you!
What is there for my kids?
During the service, children ages 4 and up are invited/dismissed to children's church. This is an age-appropriate teaching time that helps kids discover God's love for them, His blessings offered freely and God's desire to help in trouble. Watch for the dismissal slide immediately before the teaching time. NOTE: There is a nursery available for those birth to 3yrs.
What kind of music will there be?
As we gather together, our goal is to honor and glorify God. With that in mind, we enjoy a blend of praise & worship songs as well as hymns. We believe there is rich meaning and value in both musical styles.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. The offering is for those who call LexChristian their church home. We want this time to be a gift to you. Hopefully you will find this place to be a shelter from the storms of life and experience God's grace while learning how to apply Biblical truth to your life. Please don't feel ANY obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
